Join the staff who look after the big cats at this Kent breeding centre and get really close to these magnificent animals! The centre is not open to the general public so this is a truly rare opportunity to spend time behind the scenes. While they're safely held in enclosures throughout the experience, you'll be only millimetres away and will even get the chance to hand feed one of the cats! You'll also enjoy a guided tour of the site and get a chance to chat with the knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Your session will start with a safety briefing, which is very important when you are about to work with the world's top predators. This is followed by a short presentation on the work of Wildlife Heritage Foundation, both in the UK and overseas. Next up you'll be guided around the facility and will then move on to the highlight – hand feeding one of the magnificent big cats. It's sure to be a powerful and unforgettable wildlife experience. The encounter lasts for around two and a half hours. There will be an opportunity for a few photo mementos as well.

This experience is available at Kent:

  • Kent (South East) - Ashford
Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. You are free to contact the supplier to book a date for your experience. Participants must be aged 16 years or over - anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian. You may bring up to four guests for a minimum donation of £20 per person. Because you will be working with animals and as this is an outside experience, the program will vary with the season and time of day. Sessions are offered in the morning, afternoon and early evening May to September, and daytime only for the rest of the year. The encounter normally runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday, although some weekday sessions may be made available if demand is great. Sessions are limited and subject to pre–booking and availability. Disabled participants are welcome; the site is accessible to all except in very wet weather when the grass surface may not be suitable for wheelchair users.

I recently went on my Big Cat Experience purchased through Buyagift by my partner for a birthday gift and what an excellent gift it turned out to be! The whole afternoon was absolutely fantastic! It started at 1:30pm when we were met by our guide for the day. She was extremely knowledge and very enthusiastic about the animals in her care and she had a wicked sense of humour which helped ease any fears we may have had. She had been told my particular interest was Tigers. So although we did the full tour of the compound- meeting and greeting all the other cats at the Foundation including Jaguars Snow Leopards Lions Pallas Cats Cheetahs where Theresa told us full details and history for each one- the majority of our time was spent with at least a dozen different Tigers. I was allowed to touch them and hand feed them which was just a dream come true for me. Each animal has a large enclosure is well fed and very well looked after all the keepers are very passionate about caring for these wonderful animals. I would definitely recommend this experience very very highly.
