The falconry houses 300 birds of different species ranging from eagles to pelicans. You will have a guided tour of the centre where you can ask the experienced falconers any questions you have about the birds and the falconry. You will learn some falconry skills and even get the chance to fly a bird to the fist. You will also get to meet and learn about pelicans and vultures which are housed on-site. Not only will you increase your falconry knowledge you will have an amazing experience.
Your experience will start with you on a guided tour where you will meet the falconer and some of the birds housed at the centre. You will learn about the species of birds, there characteristics, dietary needs and personalities. Then its your chance for some hands-on fun where you will be flying some birds and learning the art of falconer knots. You will also meet and interact with some of the falconries pelicans and vultures. There will be plenty of photo opportunities, so don’t forget your camera. As a guide your experience will last for 6 to 7 hours. Please note, lunch is not included in this package. There is a picnic site at the location should you wish to bring your own packed lunch.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. All equipment will be provided for your experience, but it is advisable to bring a pair of wellington boots with you and wear suitable outdoor clothing for the time of year. Please note that the species of bird flown will be dependent on the time of year. A maximum of one spectator per participant is permitted to attend on the day, subject to a £30 fee.

This birds of prey day is great I'd recommend it to anyone. After a tour of the centre you get to learn some falconry skills and then the best bit flying the birds yourself. It's brilliant getting so close to the birds such a one-off experience.
