This experience is based in the heart of Scottish Countryside hosted by a team of falcon experts who have years of experience with birds of prey. This course gives you the opportunity to share in the knowledge of the experienced falconers, and also to interact with magnificent birds of prey. You will be shown how to fly and handle a bird of prey like a true professional. Enjoy a day out in the Scottish hills and witness the brilliance of these fantastic birds.
Your experience starts with you being met by the falconer at a rendevous point and then taken to see the birds in their natural surroundings you will learn all about their different characteristics, speed capabilities and hunting habits. After that, you will have the chance to fly some of them to the fist under the watchful eye of the trainer. Finally there will be plenty of photo opportunities to capture a truly unforgettable experience. Your experience will last approximately 6 to 7 hours in total.

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. You are free to contact the falconry centre in order to arrange a mutually convenient time for your experience. All equipment will be provided for your experience, but it is advisable to bring a pair of wellington boots with you and wear suitable outdoor clothing for the time of year. Please note that the species of bird flown will be dependent on the time of year - similarly, availability of this experience is entirely weather dependent; if adverse weather conditions prevent your experience from taking place you will be rebooked. There will be a maximum of 6 people in your group on the day. Raptor World will provide you with lunch on the day.

Had a fab day at Raptor World on their Birds of Prey Day. I was there for around six and a half hours which I think is brilliant value for money and we were only a small group. Learning how to handle and fly the birds was one of the best things I've ever done it's so different to anything I've tried before.
