I was browsing Buyagift and decided to treat myself and my mother to the Deluxe Wedgwood ceramic experience. We arrived and had a welcome coffee followed by the tour which was very impressive especially how their pottery is made. Our three course lunch was super and I know we both enjoyed making our own pieces of pottery (mum's was much better than mine!). These were posted to us nice and promptly.

We had a wonderful day On arrival we had coffee and biscuits in the restaurant then watched the film introducing us to the history of Wedgwood. After that it was time for the Visitor Centre including the hands on My husband tried his hand at throwing a pot with a great deal of help and I then decorated a pot by the turning method. All very exciting as we'd never done anything like that before. These were left to be fired then posted on to us as a memento of our day. Then it was time for lunch in the restaurant where we also received our free gifts - a pendant for me and a tie clip for my husband hand chosen by the staff in the Visitor Centre Reception. The lunch was absolutely delicious - three courses served on of course Wedgwood tableware. As the tour round the factory was no longer offered in the afternoon we had instead entry to the Wedgwood Museum. What a treat It led us from the very start of Josiah Wedgwood's work right up to the 20th century. The only problem was that we ran out of time. Since then we have returned twice to the Visitor Centre and museum making use of our 2-year Privilege Card for free entry to the Visitor Centre and discount in the shop and restaurant.
