Capture close-up shots of exotic animals with a unique photography class designed to improve your photography skills
If you're wild about photography and go crazy for wildlife then this is the ideal experience for you! During this full day photography masterclass, you'll discover the art of capturing inspired shots of a large range of exotic animals, with expert tuition on how to get the most out of your own camera. You'll have incredibly close-up access to a variety of the most colourful and photogenic animals in the world such as; lizards, snakes, amphibians, and invertebrates - a unique opportunity you'd never have in a zoo or wildlife park.
Your day begins at 10am. You will be based in the beautiful surroundings of a nature reserve deep in the heart of South-East London. The studio will have three different set-ups, with lighting and props, allowing you great access to the animals that you will photograph. This means you are free to spend as much or as little time with each animal as you wish.
The class will begin with an introduction and overview of the key technical settings of your camera - macro lenses and filters will be available for loan if required. Next, get straight down to the business of photographing some of the easier subjects throughout the morning session. During your lunch break you're free to wander the tranquil gardens around the centre or review your morning's work with critique and advice from an expert photographer.
In the afternoon you'll focus on some of the more challenging animals before returning to some of the more popular animals at the end of the day. Expert advice and technical assistance will be available throughout the day to help you get the best light settings, composition and speeds to capture great shots throughout the day. The class will finish at 4pm.

Get Close To Wildlife Photography Day
Although this gift did take a while to organise and the information given on this website is out of date; they have recently changed their venue, the day was really worthwhile. It was a laid back informal atmosphere with a small group size and friendly helpful knowledgeable instructors.
It would help to have some knowledge of manual settings on your camera but it is in no way necessary as they will give you as much tuition to get the best shots as you need.
I have never had an opportunity to get this close to a spectrum of different exotic animals or the opportunity to get such brilliant pictures. I would definitely go back.
