Once upon a time mankind wasn't dependant on small metal boxes powered by lightning that bleeped and blooped; once upon a time mankind wrought the very living iron into tools and swords and instruments of power. Now you can revive the ancient art of blacksmithing, thought lost to the advances of the detestable silicon age, and under the expert tutelage of a master blacksmith, once again take up hammer & tongs and forge something awesome out of metal to take home and show the neighbours. You'll also get a lovely pub-lunch mid-way through the day, which is nice. Go on, be a blacksmith for a day!
Upon arrival you'll be greeted by the museum's blacksmith who will guide you through your day offering tricks of the trade and expert tuition in blacksmithery. After a hard morning's learning and forging, you'll have a break for lunch where you'll head out into the Victorian village for a delicious pub lunch, before heading back to learn more about blacksmithing. At the end of the day you can take home some unique pieces with you as souvenirs.
