One Night Spa Break at Whittlebury Hall
Fantastic but busy
Whittlebury Hall is a lovely place, clean, friendly helpful staff with plenty of different things to do on your spa day. The heat and ice experience is excellent - getting really hot is the easy bit then you have to build up the courage to use the ice cave or drench shower! It's really amazing when you warm up again though. The only down side is that it gets rather busy. We went on a Saturday so it probably was the busiest time of the week, but finding space to sit on benches or sunbeds was tricky, even finding space in the hydro-pool was difficult at times. Overall a lovely experience, including an overnight stay in the hotel and dinner in the restaurant.

Well we arrived early at 10am so we could take full advantage of the spa. Check in was easy BUT we were unable to go to our room till 3pm so we had to go through our bags in the lobby. The spa was over crowded and very noisy. Far from relaxing. The swimming pool had far too much chlorine in it I had to get out, many other guests were saying the same. I was extremely bored.
We pre-paid for a very expensive massage and was given the time when we arrived 3pm! The same time we could go to our room. The massage I had was probably the worst I have ever had in my life. NOT worth over £100 . All the treatments are way over priced and if you have not booked in advance you wont get an appointment. The spa shop is not overpriced and is on par with high street prices.
The room...... Blimey. The towels and robes are stiff and look about 20 years old. The mould, peeling wallpaper, décor, smell etc was also disappointing.
The food in the Aston was very nice and service was good.
The Silverstone bar prices are also average with good service.
I don't recommend Whittlebury Hall if you want a relaxing break. Very disappointed.
