Indulge in a true spa experience with the utmost sense of comfort and all round well-being. The River Spa perfectly combines all the wonders of western hospitality with Asian and European spa treatments to ensure something very special to each guest. Your spa experience includes a traditional afternoon tea and either a one hour facial or a full body massage. You will also have access to the Specialist Thermal Spa.
You are invited to arrive at the spa from around 9am. You will then spend approximately an hour in the Specialist Thermal Spa which incorporates four rooms, each with a different climate and effect. The Laconium Room has a very mild heat to cleanse and detoxify the body. The Salt Grotto is a steam room and stimulates and promotes blood circulation and detoxification. The Herbal Sauna gives a warm and dry heat experience and is excellent at boosting the immune defences and relieving stress. The Steam Room is a perfect environment for overcoming fatigue and strengthening the immune system.
You will then receive one of the treatments outlined above, and finish your experience with an afternoon tea.

Your voucher is valid for ten months. You are free to arrange a day for your experience, but are advised to book at least two weeks in advance to avoid disappointment. Minimum age is 16. Afternoon tea is included in this package. Please note that children are unable to enter the spa at any time. During the time at the spa you will be given use of a River Spa robe and slippers. This package is available on Friday and Saturday only.

I could have spent all day in the Thermal Spa at River Spa (a sort of steamy salty sauna 4-in-1 thing) - that's if my Afternoon Tea hadn't been calling! I never say no to some scrummy scones with jam and cream and today were some of the nicest I ever tasted! And I mustn't forget my full body massage (before the cakes!) which was just fantastic.

Had a fab day at the River Spa couldn't fault it. The hour I spent in their Thermal spa was just wonderful so relaxing. Each room supposedly had different benefits but I just thought they were all great! I then had a 60min facial which was lovely really luxurious. Afternoon tea was delicious I've got a real sweet tooth so I loved that!
