No "February Blues" for me!
As I write this, I'm blissfully aware of my beautifully "manicured" feet, soaked, massaged, creamed & with my nails painted a soft aqua shade ["Blue Moon Lagoon"], by Suzie, who I had the good fortune to meet yesterday! All this pampering, thanks to my daughter who knew this was the treat I'd most appreciate for my birthday last month - an ideal preparation for my trip to Malta in March. She was also aware how difficult it had been for me for the past 18 months to even REACH my feet; fortunately a hip replacement last March paid off, so I'm now fully mobile again & looking forward to enjoying summer weather conditions! Meanwhile, I felt thoroughly spoilt yesterday by Suzie & her staff; pedicure & foot-massage, tea in a lovely, brand new, pink china cup, chocolate biscuits & up-to-the-minute magazines - what more could a girl want?
This salon has only one problem that I can find - the phone line! When I first tried to book, I was told Suzie had moved from the gym where she previously worked & had to Google her. This produced a mobile number, which was predictably engaged the first time I rang, so I left a message. Meanwhile, my husband was making arrangements to meet some mates, so I was rather taken aback to overhear him answering the phone saying, "No, I'm sorry, I'm sure nobody's called you from here today - anyway, we really don't need a PEST CONTROLLER"!!!
I really would recommend anybody to go to Suzie for a pedicure - but I advise her to invest the takings in an audible phone line...!
