I booked the Swinton Park overnight spa break for two for myself and my husband as it would make a nice stop-off on our drive up to Scotland. When we arrived we got settled into our lovely room and then went for a wander around the grounds which are beautiful. Dinner at Samuel's restaurant was delicious as was breakfast the next morning. Obviously the most important part was the spa facilities though which we had all to ourselves for an hour followed by a seriously relaxing massage.

I totally can see why Swinton Park has won hotel of the year it is just lovely. The location the rooms the food all top notch. We went there for our hotel break because we didn't want to go too far for our anniversary but wanted to do something nice and we'd had recommendations. Having the massage at the spa made it a bit special too.
