Participants arrive at around 9am. There will be a registration and tea/coffee as well as a welcome briefing and a presentation on the principles of survival. Participants will then move to the wood and lake area where the overall group will break down into smaller groups and rotate around the various course elements which include survival and bushcraft skills, navigation, first aid, travel safety, personal security and equipment advice. Lunch is at 1pm and consists of “boil in the bag” travel rations, and for the more brave a sample of wild food. The afternoon is spent completing the course and the day ends at around 4pm. Travel and survival equipment demonstrated throughout the day will be available for purchase at the end of the day.
