Experience mechanised soldiery with this great tank driving experience
After a safety briefing you'll find yourself at the controls of three amazing military vehicles. Then you'll get to watch one side show, which could be a look at the weapons inside the armoury or SAS woodland patrol experience, depending on which is available. You'll get to drive a Russian Gvozdika tank, a 432 Personnel Carrier and either a Lance Missile Carrier or Humvee (which was featured in the film Black Hawk Down). At the end of the day, the best driver gets to crush a car with a 56 ton Chieftain tank! Looking the part in a camouflage suit and helmet, you 're in for four solid hours of army fun.

Your introductory tank driving experience includes: Full military uniform (which you get to keep!), Safety briefing, A drive in three military vehicles, One side show: a view of the weaponry in the armoury, SAS woodland patrol or 18th flintlock century musket and mortar demonstration (this depends on which show is available), A ride in a Hagglund and 432, Crushing a car in a 56 ton Chieftain Tank for the best driver!

Your voucher is valid for 10 months. The minimum age for participants is 12 years. Minimum height is 5'0". You should be reasonably fit, and don't need a driver's licence. The experience will last approximately four hours, from either 9am to 1pm or 2pm to 6pm on selected dates in May, June and September. There will be up to 30 people participating, and spectators are welcome at a fee of £15 each (payable on the day and includes two vehicle rides). The minimum age for spectators is 7 years. Please inform the supplier in advance if you intend to bring spectators. Bring wellies and gloves as it gets very muddy!

This is an experience that every bloke should go on - it wasn't just about tanks although driving a tank was damn good fun! We got to drive all sorts of military vehicles and even play at being SAS for a bit! Felt like a proper action hero and got some great pics in the army get up with camouflage gear!

My fella is well into his action films and soldier stuff so I had a feeling he might just enjoy this tank day! He was absolutely in his element running around with the army lot, driving tanks and firing guns - plus the uniform looked gooood!!! He got to keep it!!!
