Your tour will start at 10 am with coffee or tea. At 10.30 am your tour of English wine begins with a discussion on growing wine in different climates, and the challenges faced by cool-climate growers. You will also learn how wines from different countries differ and the reasons for this. Then you will have a tutored tasting session to educate you on how to evaluate and appreciate wines, as well as an educational discussion on the flavour characteristics of English wines, making use of the vineyard wide range of aroma bottles. This is followed by a trip to the winery and perhaps some grape taste testing! Here you will see the wine-making process from grape to bottle while discussing the progress of English wines. The tour ends around 2 pm after a light lunch of biscuits, cheeses and fruits. Your tour will cover all aspects of English wine, from the growing processes to the final product.
