Escape on an adventure across acres of beautiful English countryside with fantastic views across the Chiltern Downs in one of Europe’s largest conservation areas and watch lions, tigers, elephants, hippos and giraffes out and about in huge outdoor enclosures. Check out our regular demonstrations featuring elephants, sea lions and birds of prey. New for 2008 is Cheetah Rock, a fantastic exhibit which will bring visitors up close to the fastest land animals and has interactive features that will give visitors the chance to learn more about cheetahs and the conservation work ZSL carries out in Tanzania.

On arrival you are free to explore the park for as long as you want and enjoy the many different habitats and animals on display. There are free daily demonstrations such as feedings, falconry displays and the unique chance to get up close and personal with some of the park’s residents.

Notes

On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a child entry voucher valid between 15th March 2008 and 4th November 2008 . Child tickets are valid for ages 3-15; children under 3 go free. Simply present the voucher at the entry gate to gain admission. The Zoo is open every day except Christmas Day from 10am. Every penny you spend at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo goes towards both the care of the animals and The Zoological Society of London’s many global conservation projects.

Whipsnade Zoo is a brilliant day out for the family. The kids were fascinated by all the animals. My youngest son has decided he wants to be a gorilla when he grows up... Anyway, the tickets arrived really quickly after I ordered them - will definitely go through buyagift again.
