Aspen House is an old farmhouse, and my wife likes any building or hotel with a story like that! Id actually stayed here once before on a retreat with some colleagues, so when I saw this weekend package on Buyagift I snapped it up knowing my wife would love it.

Really enjoyed our stay at Aspen House. The breakfasts were lovely and it was so cosy and welcoming!! Really well placed to get to local sights etc, really glad we chose it. Think I overdid the cream teas though!!

We had a wonderful, relaxing two day break at Aspen House set in a very quiet and quaint village location surrounded by beautiful countryside, with a meandering, gurgling stream running past the back door. We took a peaceful stroll down by the river just across a field, with the buzz and chirping of wildlife all around. It was sheer paradise. The private gardens of Aspen House are themselves delightful, even long before all the plants and flowers have fully bloomed! The proprietors deserve a medal for all the love, care and thoughtful work they have obviously put into the garden and the premises overall. The food is absolutely delicious, with an emphasise on natural and organic produce. It has changed our diet and made us conscious as to where we purchase our food from and how it is sourced, grown & reared. I can honestly say we feel healthier and enjoy our food much more now since our wonderful stay at Aspen House. Three cheers to them and the best for the future. They’ve certainly changed ours.
