I've always fancied trying it so it was great when my parents surprised me with this day driving a diesel train. The tuition was great, it was a bit nervewracking when I first drove the train myself but once I got into it I just really enjoyed it. Mum and Dad came with me and had lunch too, so it was nice for them to be involved, they were on camera duty!
Graham Smith,
Trains are my hobby so having my wife present me with a gift experience to drive my own train was really exciting for me. The train driver on the Ecclesbourne Railway was really good at explaining the train driving process so my time at the controls was very enjoyable.
