Suitable for complete beginners to experienced sailors, this action packed day out on the beautiful Solent makes an excellent gift. Everyone on-board has the opportunity to get really involved in sailing the yacht from steering to raising the sails and working on the foredeck. Throughout the experience a professional skipper and crew are on hand to ensure everyone gets the most out of their day. With a choice of vessels, this gift offers the recipient the option to sail on Whitbread 60 Blueprint midweek or Clipper 60 Taeping at weekends.

The crew meet at 10am in the marina for a cup of tea or coffee and safety brief about the boat. Then head up Southampton Water into the open area of the Solent. This trip runs from 10am to 4pm on selected Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays aboard Whitbread 60 Blueprint and selected Saturdays and Sundays aboard Clipper 60, Taeping, from April to September. You are welcome to sit back and enjoy the ride or take part in the sailing which will involve taking the helm, hoisting and trimming sails. Lunch is provided onboard, before returning to Ocean Village for about 3.30pm.
Notes
On purchasing this experience you will be sent an open dated gift voucher valid for ten months. This experience is suitable for people over the age of 12. Anyone aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a full paying parent or guardian. To avoid disappointment please ensure you give at least four weeks notice to secure summer dates as this is a seasonal experience. The skipper reserves the right to curtail the experience on safety grounds if the weather becomes severe. In the event that weather prevents the experience from taking place your date will be rescheduled. This experience is not suitable for those who suffer from seasickness.

Wonderful, absolutely amazing!. I was given this as a birthday present and it couldn't have been a better gift. I have always wanted to try sailing, and this experience gave me that chance. My mum is going on a 30 day cruise around the indian ocean with my dad in July, and is nervous.
