The closest you can get to a real F1 race - head to head on the demanding Rockingham infield circuit.
This experience will take place on Rockingham 's Infield Circuit, using full spec 175bhp Formula single seaters. These cars are capable of firing up to 0-60 in 4 seconds and offer the unique opportunity to purchase data and telemetry read outs that will assist the driver in his/hers driving technique.

On purchasing this experience you will be sent an open dated gift voucher with 10 months validity. After a full briefing you 'll be strapped into the four point racing harness of an awesome Formula single seater. Then take to the track and be paced around the circuit in groups of four led by an instructor for a riproaring 13 miles. Finish with a debrief and presentation of certificates.
Notes
Experience available on selected Saturdays between February and November. You must have held a full driving licence for 12 months. Min/Max height: 5’2”/6’4” and max weight of 18 stone. Your whole experience will last for approximately two hours. The length of the driving time is an approximate time and should be used as a guide. Please arrive thirty minutes before your start time. Spectator and catering facilities are excellent, including some exciting pay on the day activities, including an opportunity to purchase action photos from the car 's on-board computer (subject to availability). Dogs are not allowed. Long sleeve shirts, long trousers and light flat-soled shoes are required. Crash helmets, gloves and waterproofs will be provided. Where a helmet is required for an experience it is mandatory and there will be no exceptions.

I have never driven a car as quickly as this. Nudging 130 mph while 6 inches from the tarmac is an experience you can dream of, doing it is something else. We were nursed around the opening laps by racing drivers who were giving up their spare time to help us amateurs. A few laps of bedding-in and we were able to get serious. A quick stop in the pits and we were out again, our silky smooth one seaters sweeping-by gurgling V8 monsters. Time to push it to the top. The track looks smooth from the stands, but when you're cranking up the power through the four gear crash-box (synchromesh has no place here) into the big black tyres that dominate your mirrors, you sense that nothing is smooth at this speed. The car vibrates. As you floor the gas to keep up with the Pro your teeth literally clatter together, the mirrors vibrate and you really can't see behind you, but hey-what's behind you isn't your concern. Arms and legs get tired and each corner is getting more difficult. You know the line but getting on it isn't that easy. Has the pro eased-off a little to help you around? I hope not. At the end the instructor asks how much fun it was. It's hard to answer when you're grinning so much.

Hi thanks for you follow up after my trip to Rockingham. It was a great day out and I really enjoyed myself as did my family who came with me. My wife had a ride in the NASA car 175 mph which she said was awesome. We will be going again possibly to try a different circuit. Thanks to all your team for a great day out and a great service.
