Picture yourself strapped into your fighter aircraft, then suddenly out of the sun is a bandit. Sweeping into a banked roll you come round on his tail, line him up in your gun sight and let him have it! Victory is yours! This is Air Combat USA – a unique chance to be a Fighter Pilot for the Day. The Marchetti aircraft will pull +6g and you could be doing 90% of the flying! The tour includes two nights 4* accommodation, plus 3 days car hire. You do not need a pilot’s license for this event.

On arrival, spend a day relaxing at your four star hotel after soaking up the sites of LA. The following morning, take your hire car to the airfield for a briefing and get kitted out in your flight suit. Then take to the skies for your dogfight experience where your pilot will put the aerobatic plane through its paces as you try and score a direct hit on your opponent, indicated by a plume of smoke! The following day is at leisure before your return flight home.

Please note that flights to California are not included in the price. This package is for two people, one flyer and one non participating guest. Accommodation is provided on a room only basis. Participants must be aged between 17 and 70 years old. Maximum height is 6’7” and maximum weight is 18 stones. Dates are available from March-October. Please note that the plane is flown with a professional pilot allowing you the chance to focus on getting that bull’s eye! Your flight will last for around an hour.

Oh wow this was amazing!!! I have ALWAYS wanted to be a fighter pilot, so getting into the cockpit of a real US fighter jet was incredible!!! I have friends over in California so I got some cheap flights and stayed for another week with them afterwards to make a real holiday of it. 100% worth the money though - no question!!!

My boyfriend loves anything even vaguely Top Gun so I knew he'd love this, I booked it as a surprise for us to go to California so he could fly the Marchetti plane like a real fighter pilot. It was amazing, even for me as a spectator, the plane can pull spectacular moves! I think he must've been shaken around a bit too much in the +6g because once back on the ground he actually proposed to me!! So thanks buyagift for inspiring me, and probably securing my engagement!
