See the beauty of the North Yorkshire countryside as you fly 2000ft up between the clouds. You will be taught the basics of controlling the aircraft when you are offered the chance to take the controls of the microlight. With a professional pilot with hundreds of hours flight experience by your side, you are in safe hands and sure to not only have the flight of a lifetime but will also learn about these awesome little machines in the process.

You will have a short briefing with your instructor who will run through a safety briefing, the controls of the aircraft and also a little about the microlight and its history. You will then be strapped in alongside your instructor, who will taxi the aircraft to the runway and take off. You will reach approximately 2000ft and fly over some of North Yorkshire's famous landmarks including the Dales, Moors, White Horse and, if time permits, the coastline. If you feel comfortable, you can take control of the aircraft under close supervision of the instructor, who will ensure your complete safety. You will have a total flight time of 30 minutes.
Notes
On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for 10 months for one person. You can then call the training centre to book a flight. The minimum age is 14 years old and maximum weight is 14 stone. If the participant is under 18 they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You are welcome to bring family and friends along to watch and take pictures. It is possible to get a DVD of your flight; this will be at an additional cost which can be paid directly to the flying school after your flight. Your flight is subject to availability and weather conditions. It is recommended that you call the centre on the morning of your lesson to check the weather is safe to fly in.

I LOVED flying in the microlight, it was brilliant. You can see for miles and it's fab being out in the open. The set-up was very professional, they're careful about safety and stuff like that so you feel very confident when you go up.
