Take to the skies for a gliding lesson to remember at a great gliding club in Norfolk

If you're looking to enter this amazing sport, or just want to experience the rush of flying silently through the clouds, this is ideal! The activity takes place in a dual controlled glider accompanied by a fully qualified instructor. On arrival at the venue you will be given a safety briefing; then it's up, up and away! The glider will either be towed into the air by a powered aircraft or be launched via winch up to a height of around 2000ft and then released to soar over the beautiful countryside. Your instructor will show you the controls of the glider, and then you can try your hand at flying it yourself if you feel confident. Please note that gliding is extremely weather dependent; it is impossible to predict the length of your flight but it should last between 15 and 30 minutes. Every effort will be made to ensure that you get the best and safest flight for the conditions.

Notes

On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months. You are then free to contact the venue to arrange a date for your visit. Please note that this experience is weather dependent; so it is advised that you contact the supplier on the morning of your flight to check that it will proceed as planned. Trial lessons are available to those over 12 years of age and under-18s must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum height restriction 4ft 6, maximum height 6ft 3 and maximum weight 16 stone. Spectators are welcome.

This was my first time gliding and I'll admit to being a tad apprehensive before stepping into the glider, but my instructor at the flying school made me feel really at ease so I could really enjoy my whole experience. It was an incredible feeling floating down to earth.
