Agenda
Day one - is an introduction to the sport: a background to kite surfing, equipment and the natural environment. You'll learn about wind strength and direction, both key to the sport. You'll start with the basics to ensure a solid grounding. In the afternoon you'll have a hands-on session with a power kite on dry land. You will explore the kite's abilities and performance, learning where the kite flies best and generates maximum power. Day two – take to the water and fly a full size kiteboarding wing in the shallows. You'll learn the principles of kite surfing with your instructor and a safety boat on hand. Soon you'll be body dragging – using the power of the kite to pull you through the water. It's great fun! Day three – be introduced to the kitesurfing boards. There are many types of board and your instructor will show you the differences before you learn the basics of the essential water start – using the kite to pull you onto your board. Here you'll use all knowledge gained so far. From here on in you're a kite surfer, and the learning curve is steep once the basics are mastered!
