These exhilarating Winch Launch Glider Flight lessons will launch you to between 1000 and 1500 feet above the ground. You will be able to see far across the rolling English countryside on this course to remember. The lessons will last between 5 and 20 minutes (depending on weather conditions) in which time you will learn to turn and manoeuvre the glider. (8 Winch launch lessons)

The course takes place in a dual controlled glider accompanied by a fully qualified instructor. Air time is between 5 and 20 minutes per flight. On arrival at the venue you will be given a brief overview of the gilder then up, up and away you go! The trial lessons don 't end when you land either - the voucher entitles you to 90 days membership of the club. You can fly again at any time during the month at special rates!
Notes
On purchasing this experience you will be sent an open dated gift voucher with 10 months validity. Flights are only available on weekdays. It is important to book in advance to confirm a mutually convenient time. It is also essential to call on the morning of the flight before setting off to the Gliding Club to ensure that the weather is fine for flying. Maximum height 6 '2. Maximum weight 15 stone. There are no age restrictions to participate in this experience. All 8 flights must be taken on the same day.

My son has been going gliding for several years and persuaded me to have a go as well, he booked me onto this full day Gliding course which happened to be very near to where we live. My instructor was a brilliant guy, put me at ease and made sure I knew exactly what I was doing when I learnt how to turn and manoeuvre. The winch launches are amazing, I really couldn't believe how the glider uses the air to stay aloft. Was amazing seeing our local area from the sky, and going up 8 times was fantastic! I'd never been up in a glider before but after a day of flying in one I was hooked! Soaring on the currents was an experience unlike anything I've ever had in an aeroplane or other aicraft, you're totally under the control of nature! It is something I'd love to do again some day.
