Agenda
An IL-76 or Hercules flight will take you to from Punta Arenas in Chile to Patriot Hills, landing on its blue runway. This is the base camp in the heart of Antarctica which can accommodate up to 30 visitors. You will sleep in insulated tents and there is a separate kitchen and dining area. A range of optional activities are available. From here you will fly on, in a ski-equipped Twin Otter to the South Pole. There will also be a brief visit to the US science base with its unique gift shop. The length of this trip varies with itinerary but on average lasts around two weeks.

You may call me brave, you may call me stupid, but an expedition to the South Pole is something I've wanted to do since I was a small child. I know it's a lot of money but the experience you have when setting foot in Antarctica is absolutely priceless. I could go on forever but I'd bore you senseless like I have my friends and family!
