Take your experience on a Friday and drive a tank, plus many more vehicles for a bargain price!
These fantastic driving sessions last approximately three and a half hours, and include driving a Chieftain tank, an Armoured Personnel Carrier and a Quad Bike! You will receive full driving tuition in the reassuring company of the friendly and experienced instructors, some of whom served in the Falklands and Gulf Wars, and who may have some interesting stories to tell! The ratio of guests to vehicles is set to keep all participants busy throughout the session.

The Course includes complimentary refreshments throughout the session, full safety briefing, driving the Chieftain, MBT 55 tons 700hp, driving the Abbot SPG (self-propelled field gun), driving the APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier) and riding the Quad Bikes. You will receive a Certificate of Achievement. This special offer is for experiences on Fridays only.

On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months.
This experience is available on Fridays only.
You are then free to contact the location directly to book a time for your experience. Please dress comfortably and warmly. Sturdy boots are advisable, as are waterproofs during wet weather. Should there be any problems (breakdown, starting late etc) there are spare vehicles available to help keep the session on schedule. Toilets are available on site, there is also an undercover area with picnic benches and a wood fire that is lit in cold or wet weather. This is where the safety briefing takes place and refreshments are available. Please note that if you have a chest size of over 50 inches it may be difficult for you to get into some of the vehicles. Minimum age for participants is 16 years old. Please do not bring dogs to the site. Spectators are welcome at a fee of £10.00, payable on the day. Children under 10 years are free. The spectator entrance fee includes a Ride on a Tank and complimentary tea and coffee.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect when I got my tank driving experience for Christmas as I can’t say it was something I had ever thought about doing before but it was definitely a pleasant surprise. You get such a good feeling from being behind the wheels of such powerful machines. Highly recommended.

For my 60th birthday present my son bought this unusual experience. I visited on a glorious day in July with my wife and we had a ball. The tank driving was marvellous if a little tight for my large frame. Ironically the smallest tank had the most room and the big Chieftan the least room for the driver. The quad bike was also great fun. The rides for guests were excellent ensuring everybody enjoyed the experience and all the instructors ensured a fun and exciting day was had by all.

I have always wanted the chance to drive a tank and this day certainly made my dream come true. The day was very well organized and action packed. We got to drive a whole host of vehicles including an Abbot SPG, an APC, quad bikes and then the Chieftain tank driving at the end. A really great day.

When I saw the tanks & quad bikes lined up & ready for action I was very apprehensive. I need not have worried at all, the instructors were patient, very friendly and encouraging and, above all thorough, so I felt safe and well informed. I had the time of my life tearing round the course in various vehicles. I’m now a tremendous fan of the armoured personnel carrier and have written to Santa to see if I can have one for Xmas, (so I can nip down the shops to do the January sales without having to worry about traffic & parking). I can thoroughly recommend the experience to anyone, if a 56 year old woman with wonky joints can do it and have a ball then anyone can. TANK DRIVING ROCKS!

My girlfriend bought me the tank driving experience for my birthday and it is probably the best present I have ever had. Driving the tank was definitely the highlight of my day but I still had a lot of fun behind the wheel of the other military vehicles and quad bikes.
