Nice Idea but not for Scotland??

I bought my husband a buyagift 2 night break for Xmas, bought the deluxe one, good value at £139 usable at weekend up to end May only to discover that this is all about England. There was the choice (?) of one hotel in Scotland in an area we would not normally choose to visit. The venue was basic and the town it was situated in had very little to do shops etc vacant shuttered and closed down.
The 2 night break is a great idea but if you're in Scotland beware!
