Great Gift but Not Happy

If you intend to visit this hotel I would wait until it has been totally refurbished. We went for a pampering weekend in March and were not advised that the hotel was being modernised. We were offered an unmodernised tatty room which was unacceptable. The restaurant and bar are accessed via the car park!! It should be finished by June when it will be a nice hotel. There are not enough staff on duty. We were dealing with the Receptionist and also a member of the bar staff who both interupted our conversation to answer the phone.
