We chose the hotel because of the old world style and were very disappointed that we were placed in the modern annexe. We decided to have dinner (which was not included in our package) at the hotel. I requested a copy of the Menu when we booked the meal and was told it was not available yet. When we went to dinner we were only offered the set menu and not the A La Carte Menu and only realised this was available when we heard another couple ordering completely different food from the menu we had been offered. The food when it arrived was mediocre. The last morning (Monday) we had breakfast and were the only people in the dining room. Our order was taken for tea and coffee and we had to wait about 20 minutes for it to be brought to our table and our food order wasn't taken until then even though there was nobody else to serve. I felt the staff could not be bothered with us. To add insult to injury I left an expensive kaftan behind in my room when we left and when I telephoned asking whether it had been found I was told it had not been!! I would certainly not recommend this hotel.
