Two Night Break at Shillingford Bridge Hotel
Excellent two nights
Delightful pub on the banks of the Thames. Narrow boats and others passing and tying up while we sat out and dined each night. Food good; staff friendly; beds comfortable. Red kites circling overhead; ducks enjoy being fed. Nice walk along the river. Very convenient for Oxford 'Park & Ride'.

Brill 70th gift
We managed to get in despite only booking three days before we went. We paid for an upgrade as no standard rooms were available. When we got there we were told our room was not yet ready (we didn't mind as the bar was handy!) but the receptionist moved us to a suite for no extra charge and it was superb. So we really did get a good deal. Lovely hotel on the Thames. Boats moored alongside. Good restaurant and bar (bar food also available). We used the break to visit Oxford including some "Morse" haunts and the Ashmolian.
I can recommend this hotel. If booking, get an upgrade, it's not expensive, as these are river view rooms. We will go again.

A Wonderful Weekend Away
We enjoyed a perfect weekend stay at the Shillingford Bridge Hotel. We had a spacious comfortable bedroom with a panoramic view down to the river. The hot and cold breakfast buffet was great and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The weather was hot and sunny and we had a relaxing time sitting on the riverside picnic benches watching the boats and the swans going by.

2 night stay - Shillingford Bridge Hotel, Oxford
My husband and I spent two nights at the Shillingford Bridge Hotel in Oxford in April '14 and we were not disappointed.
The receptionist was helpful & very efficient, managing calls and checking in people at the same time. The bar and waitress staff were very accommodating and polite. We required an extra duvet and they placed one in the room whilst we were out. The choice for breakfast was good and the full english cooked well. Amazing Cappacino from the coffee machine. The location was ideallic and we spent a few hours just sitting by the river. It is a very short drive from Oxford City Centre where the shopping is varied and vast. There is also a VUE cinema very close by.
Just one negative commment and that was that the mattress in our room was uncomfortable, however by laying an extra duvert on top of the mattress this really helped.
