Take to the skies with this once-in-a-lifetime experience that will see you strapped to the wing of a 1940’s Boeing Stearman Biplane. Perched safely on top of the wing, the expert pilot will complete a series of thrilling manoeuvres and heart-pounding flypasts, including a run and break as well as the highlight – a daring dive from 500ft. It’s sure to take you breath away. Before take-off, you’ll receive a full pre-flight safety briefing and afterwards, you'll receive a commemorative certificate to take home.

What do I need to know?

- Available Monday–Thursday, year round
- Upgrade to a Friday, Saturday or Sunday for a supplement of £50
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Over 65s must obtain a doctor’s signature to confirm your fitness
- Maximum weight: 13st 5lb / 85kg
- You must be physically fit enough to climb up the aircraft where the rig is fixed
- Please allow up to three hours for the whole experience

Feel like a bird

The experience was brilliant, exhilarating and the closest thing to feeling like flying. Any reservations are left behind as you take to the sky. The staff were very helpful and friendly and all you think to yourself is when can I afford to do it again. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a thrill, especially one that's a bit different. You feel safe and secure and have a whale of a time.

Loved it! The company who ran it at Leeds East Airport, Wingwalk Buz, were great. Smooth and easy process. I was there 2.5 hours but I had been told to expect to be there up to 3 hours so it wasn't an issue. The three staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. I used it as an opportunity to fundraise for the school where I work. My only moan, if any, would be that you don't get 11 minutes in the air as stated. You actually only get 7 minutes (which they tell you during the instruction briefing). So a noticeable difference in time in the air, for the price paid. But on the whole a fantastic experience and one I definitely won't forget.

Everyone was so friendly and organised. The Wingwalk itself is exhilarating, and whilst I was enjoying my time in the air, my support team were warm and cosy in the cafe enjoying hot drinks and still able to see me flying free in the sky. Amazing experience!

So far the best activity that I have done, and I've been skydiving, rallying, stock car racing, karting, track days. Beyond fantastic this event was so much fun I would recommend it to anyone. I would suggest doing this event early in the week as there is no skydivers during this time and thus you get to do the aerobatics closer to the spectator area and anyone who comes to watch can see you better.
