Overview
If you are animal mad and love getting up close and interacting with new and exciting animals, this alpaca experience is perfect for you and a fellow animal lover! Nestled on the Derbyshire and Leicestershire border, Charnwood Forest Alpacas is home to a range of premium breed and characterful alpacas, some of which you will be able to interact with as you are partnered up with one of the animal for a 90 minute long walk around the farm. On arrival, you’ll receive a drinks voucher, which can be used for a hot mug of tea or coffee at any point throughout the day, and will enjoy a short safety brief and demonstration from the expert alpaca handlers on how to lead these animals. Once you have become acquainted with your new alpaca friend, you can enjoy a walk around the grounds, with plenty of fantastic photo opportunities along the way – so be sure to remember your camera and capture some great memories from the day!

Best birthday gift ever

Went for my alpca walk today 23.7.2023 yes in the rain !! It didn't dampen my spirits, t was bought as a birthday present from my daughter.
Beth was our lovely leader and very informative. I lead "investor" around and fed him half way round. He was gentle and a pleasure to walk. 1 off my bucket list. Afterwards we ate in the chilli bean cafe, food lovely. Would recommend to anyone.

Fun, different and enjoyable experience

We did the 90 minutes alapca walking experience and it was a lot of fun. All the alpacas had a lot of character which added to the walk and our guide was great, and very patient! Plenty of time to get selfies and group photos with the alpacas.. Would definitely recommend as a different and enjoyable gift.

It was the perfect day out, my Alpaca named Carpe Diem seemed to want to do just that :)
Right from signing in the whole process was efficient and informative, the alpacas were so gentle and CUTE.. And they're extremely eager for feeding time :)
I would definitely recommend you wear wellies as some parts can be quite muddy - will definitely visit again!
