Overview
Spend two hours with expert falconers and some stunning hawks before enjoying some delicious tea and cake for two with this amazing experience! Nature fans and bird enthusiasts will love getting up close and personal with some fearsome hawks as you learn all about these magnificent birds. You’ll get to handle a variety of hawks and will also get to see a selection of different birds of prey being flown – including a Harris Hawk and a Eurasian Eagle-owl. All this takes place in the beautiful Kent countryside and in the surroundings of the Coolings Green & Pleasant nature centre, where you’ll also get to take your delicious tea and cake, topping off a perfect experience for you and a loved one!

We were the only people at this tour so we were lucky . The best part was feeding the birds and having them land on you . The Harris hawk was awesome. Staff were knowledgeable and not boring in their talks adding humour as well .

Wonderful close encounter

Staff at Willows Bird of Prey centre were very knowledgeable and friendly. Got up close to several birds of prey. The owls were amazing. Also had the chance to look around the rest of the centre. Staff at cafe were flexible to swap tea for juice as I don't drink tea.

What a fantastic experience. Charlie was incredibly knowledgeable feeding us so much info about all the birds. The hands on experience was fantastic. I would love to do it again and even become a falcone one day.

My partner & I had a wonderful couple of hours - this was our family Christmas present from 2019, so we had waited a long time to enjoy our gift. We were lucky that we were the only 2 people looked after by 2 bird handlers & so able to actually handle the beautiful birds ourselves - this was magic & we would definitely like to have the opportunity of visiting again in the future.

Jill, Alfie and Charlie really looked after us well. We both flew five birds and were treated to a display of a further four birds. The hosts were really informative and we had a great time. The centre has loads to offer with a host of other animals and birds which you can stay and visit after the experience. The centre is co-located with a large garden centre which was great for us to shop in after and where we had our coffee and a huge slice of cake from any of the cakes on display. We spent a lot longer than the advertised 2 hours so this was also a great value experience.

I can honestly say we have just had the best day out, what an experience. Charlie who was our handler for our experience was extremely knowledgeable and very amiable. What a great experience to be able to have the birds eating from your hand and to get that close to them was just the best. The talks and seeing the birds free flying is a joy and shows how well looked after they are. I would thoroughly recommend Willows and we will definitely return. Thank you everyone for a most memorable day out.
