Fabulous day out
02 January 2020
My wife and I are great fans of the series. The tour includes access to all of the Royal Dockyard's attractions and so we made a full day of it. We had to wait a while to redeem the voucher / book the date but it was worth the wait. Guides were knowledgeable and able to answer lots of questions.

Good experience

Our guide with her knowledge made the tour memorable. A photo book was used to show us how the buildings actually looked when filming took place. Even though on our tour we had light rain but it didn’t stop our enjoyment.

Fantastic bonding day with my daughter
08 November 2019
We arrived quite early and even though it was half term we were quickly given our tickets and everything about the Chatham Dockyard was explained. We booked slots to do a submarine tour until our Midwife experience. Our midwife guide was good fun and very knowledgeable about the series. There was a chance to see some of the props and costumes used (those girls are tiny) which was like going back to my early childhood. It was very cold as outside and although it is a walking tour there is much more standing than moving so it gets chilly. I would say it is suitable for anyone who loves the programme but children and teenagers would be very bored. We enjoyed the day especially the submarine and boat making experience. Lunch in the cafe was quite expensive but was tasty (baked potatoes about £7.96). In the summer it would be more fun. The lifeboat exhibition was really thought provoking. We spent an interesting 6 hours there in total.

Guide made talk very informative and amusing, well broken up with time to do own observation in middle inside building. Whole dockyard experience fascinating, spent complete day there.

Lovely day

If you're a Call the Midwife fan this tour is for you. Lovely guide and very informative, and a little museum showing some of the props too. You can also look round Chatham Dockyard as part of the ticket. There is lots to see, including a tour of a submarine. There is plenty of parking and a restaurant/cafe to buy food.

Unforgettable
02 September 2019
A surprise gift for Mum and it was absolutely wonderful. Chatham Historic Docks was clean, tidy, well staffed and a great day out in and of itself, it served as an excellent bonus to the actual experience tour, which was amazing. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, the sets and displays were excellent and perfect from the show. It was unforgettable and it is highly recommended. We travelled for 5 hours to get there and it was 100% worth it.

My mum was very happy and so was I seeing her so happy.
