Overview
The Silverstone Museum is a visitor attraction which celebrates the past, present and future of Silverstone and British motor racing. Discover more than 60 interactive exhibits and have fun with a variety of exciting activities, including climbing into a replica motor racing car and operating a wind tunnel! Get up close to winning cars and racing bikes, such as Barry Sheene's 1979 Suzuki motorbike and enjoy a captivating film show. See some of the circuit's most iconic moments throughout its history and step onto the old circuit at the back of the museum. You'll also get to glimpse some action on the current circuit and for a break with stunning views, head to the café overlooking the track.

What do I need to know?

- Available week round during the main season and school holidays, excluding Christmas Eve, Christmas Day Boxing Day, New Year's Eve. During the off season and in term time, the museum is open Thursday–Sunday
- Vouchers may not be used on any Silverstone main event days. For full opening dates and times please check online before visiting
- Adult tickets are for ages 16 years and over
- Please allow up to three hours for this experience
- There is a café and a shop selling exclusive Silverstone merchandise on site

Any fan of Motorsport will love this

From the first second you are greeted with an f1 car hanging from the ceiling...belonging to the 7x world champion...Sir Lewis Hamilton. Every step along the way is paved with sights and facts galore....lots of little interactive bits and bobs for the kids...and to finish it off you get to get up close and personal to the BRDC racing trophy presented to the winner of the Sunday F1 race.....with one final surprise before you exit....that's I'm not going to spoil.
So it's lights out an go go go to the Silverstone museum!

We had a great day. Would highly recommend whether you’re a fan of bikes and cars or not. There’s something for all ages. Our 3 children loved it (ages 8, 6 and 3). Thank you. It’s just a shame you can’t extend the pass for the annual one, like you can if you purchase direct from Silverstone.

The museum is really well done - with a decent selection of hands-on activities to keep the children happy.

The actual experience is very small. An hour maximum to complete the circuit. Long queues waiting for interactive areas of the museum. Children very bored.

Motorsports fans should visit

As an f1 fan, I had no idea the of the full history of the track. I now appreciate the importance of Silverstone. Kids also enjoyed the visit and loved being so close to the track.

A really good day out and hands on experience even for those less than F1 fanatics! Displays are well set out and nice large print making things easy to read. Quite a bit of interactive activity and a few photo opportunities. Chance to go outside and see what’s racing on the track too!
