If you’re a lover of history and aviation this fascinating helicopter tour is perfect! Climb on board the Bell 206 JetRanger and journey back in time, flying the same route used to train the 19 brave Lancaster Bombers in the Dam Busters Raid. This vital Second World War operation, named Operation Chastise, was led by Guy Gibson and aimed at travelling into the heart of Nazi Germany to destroy three dams in the Ruhr Valley at a precise height of 60 feet. As well as taking in all the history on this daring route, you’ll also have the opportunity to see the picture-perfect Peak District, Chatsworth House and the Mam Tor rock formations. This 30 miles flight highlights a key part of WW2 history and the skill and heroism of the 617 Squadron pilots and is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
