Overview
Now is your chance to take control of a real Tiger Moth and soar through the air at one of six locations nationwide. You’ll have 15 minutes in the air with a fully qualified instructor who will first give you a demonstration before handing control to you in this specially modified dual control aircraft. Before takeoff, you will be fully briefed by your pilot, who will introduce you to the aircraft. Then it’s time to put on your authentic leather jacket and goggles, to really capture that nostalgic feeling. You’ll then be shown to your vintage Tiger Moth and prepare for takeoff. Once in the air, you’ll be able to feel the thrill of flying in this incredible bi-plane, with the wind in your face and the incredible scenery below. Once you are ready, your pilot will hand over controls and under his supervision you can fly this incredible aircraft for the first time. What an incredible thrill!

What do I need to know?
- All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences
- You are free to book your flight on selected days all week round. Full up to date availability is held with the individual airfields
- Please note that at the West Sussex location, flights are from March to October only and you must be at least 16 to participate
- There is no age requirement for this experience; however, you must be over 1.5m/4ft11 to participate
- You cannot weigh over 102kg/16st
- Please be aware that an element of flexibility is required to embark and disembark the aircraft
- If you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, giddiness or blackouts, high blood pressure, or heart disease, then this experience is not recommended

Absolutely incredible

It was an incredible experience and worth every penny. I paid extra to upgrade to a longer flight as being an ex pilot I wanted extra flying time in the vintage Tiger Moth. My pilot and I believe company owner Ian Perry was first class, insisting I take control of the aircraft for the majority of the flight. I thoroughly recommend this experience either for yourself or as a gift for someone else.

we got there early so had look round the museum. Went to where we had to go to sign in and we flew earlier than the time we were given. I was given the brief and safety. Flew off it was great experience I have never had anything like this before and it was fantastic.

Awesome, amazing and a little hairy! You get your photo taken on entering the plane, which you can buy at the end - there's even the chance to buy a video of your flight - with audio! - a little pricey but well worth it!

The first attempt to fly was cancelled due to aircraft unservicibility. Second flight was successful and a brilliant experience, flight was quite short. The set up of Tiger Airways is a bit shambolic, but it was nice to fly in a really old bi-plane.

Fun Flying Experience

I always wondered what it is like to fly in a bi-plane, well now I know. The pilot Ian was very friendly and explained a lot about the Tiger before a 30 minute flight where he trusted me to fly the Tiger undertaking some turns and trying to fly "straight and level". Great experience and I would definitely recommend this to others.

A job to think how to make it better apart from paying more and having more time in the air. Brilliant from arriving to leaving very very friendly and polite staff, they obviously want you to enjoy your experience. I was really pleased with the amount of time I was actually flying the plane, the pilot passed control to me once we had reached altitude and I had settled in to the plane. I am not a real daredevil and thought I might have felt worried but far far from it I felt relaxed the whole time even though the breezy day was causing a bit of turbulence. There are certain things you know will stay in your memory for life and this is one of those experiences. If you like planes and want to feel that you are really flying this is for you.

Fantastic group of guys at Classic Wings Duxford! Pilot was friendly and makes you feel safe and comfortable. Enjoyed every second in the Cambridgeshire skies :-)
