We had a lovely window seat. Staff attentive and food tasty and presented well. It was nice to have a selection of savoury treats that were a bit different.

Lovely location

It was a lovely setting. It was quite on the day we were there, there were only 2 other people having afternoon tea. A nice selection but as always to many cakes.

Lovely afternoon tea
31 August 2020
A little disappointed initially that I couldn’t book this online, but it was easy enough to book with the venue. The restaurant was well laid out with social distancing in mind and was very quiet. We had quick and polite service at Broome Park. We were also given the choice of tea or coffee when we sat down. Much appreciated as I don’t drink tea! The afternoon tea itself was very nice. The sandwiches were delicious and the scones very fresh. Service was attentive without being intrusive. A good experience and I would recommend it.

Afternoon Tea

Broome Park House is an impressive house set in beautiful country side a few mile south of Canterbury just off the M2. Food was fine, a good selection of sandwiches, scones & cakes. We were the only ones there at the time, so it was a bit lacking in general atmosphere, other than that it was fine. It is major golfing centre.

Lovely birthday gift
19 January 2020
My son and I always enjoy going to cafes to have scones and tea which we haven’t done for awhile. He gave this as a birthday gift to continue our special time.

Delicious food in a stately location
25 August 2019
It was generally very good, but there were a few small details that stopped it being great: at the hotel reception we were spoken down to - we felt it was because we were "only" there for afternoon tea; the shade on the lamp near us was off at an angle; the young man serving the tea took the lid off the pot and sniffed it to decide which was Earl Grey and after asking if I wanted milk declared he know nothing about tea; we were amazed at the sandwiches and cakes brought out and paused to take photos - good job we did because a waitress practically ran up and took away the sandwiches explaining they were the vegetarian ones prepared for someone else and she'd be back with ours soon - and she was! In the end all these little things added up to take the shine off what could have been a lovely, elegant occasion in stunning surroundings. Could do better!
