We had an afternoon tea at Wivenhoe House Colchester. it was perfect from start to finish. staff were very attentive, surrounding were nice.

I gifted this afternoon tea to my mum, it was lovely spending quality time together but the Hotel itself is so beautiful, the location is beautiful and the setting is lovely. Staff are attentive and friendly and the afternoon tea itself is absolutely delicious, we both ate every bite and thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend ??

Booking process was easy. When venue rang to confirm appt, I asked if salmon sarnie could be replaced with something, poss prawns. we arrived on the hottest day, on time, and was seated in the beautiful garden area. Tea/coffee was served but food took 30 mins, so tea drunk by then. Not overly busy. No cushions on the rattan chairs, tad low n hot, so we helped ourselves from the pile. No napkins, no spoons for mini cheesecake, no one checked if more drinks reqd. Replaced sarnie was just more egg, ham was wafer thin, no taste to any of the sarnies. Cakes were ok, scones however were delicious tho looked a bit anaemic.
When finished, we left without encountering any staff.
Prestigious venue but definitely lacking.

The food was lovely and fresh and such a great selection too. We were very well looked after, regularly being checked on and asked if we needed top ups of hot drinks. The rhubarb drink was a nice touch and so REFRESHING! We will definitely be back

This gift was lovely. Venue is a country manor hotel. Staffwere friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and nothing too much of trouble.
Booking and paying with the voucher couldn't be easier. I will us this company again.
