Afternoon tea was delicious plenty to eat

The voucher system is too complicated to redeem. Afternoon tea at Haughton Hall was boring, lacking in atmosphere. The food was good, but the room was tired and functional. The staff when bringing out the food didn’t explain what was on the sandwiches. Paperwork was left on a centre table. Staff walked through with their coats on, presumably finishing their shift. Bar staff walked through carrying cartons of milk. I ordered a black Americano to be told that this would be extra as only filter coffees were included with the price - at the end of our afternoon I was told that I wouldn’t be charged. When the coffee was brought to me it was held in two hands by the waiter steadying the cup with his two thumbs on the lip of the cup - what happened to the trays! Overall this is an experience be avoided.

Lovely quiet house set in garden suroundings. The staff were very welcoming and dedicated, making sure that we were enjoying our champagne and tea without being over fussy. The tea itself was all that we expected, with lots of variety of petit sandwiches followed by an imaginative selection of fancies and finally home made sacones with jan and clotted cream. We thought we had finished. But No. Out came hot chocolate fondue with marsh mellows, banana and pineapple to dip. All in all an afternoon tea to remember .

Beautiful venue. The waitress was very pleasant. The afternoon tea was delicious. The only disappointment was that we were the only couple in the room and there was no ambience.

Friendly host who looked after us very well. Sandwiches excellent, red velvet cakes and scones a little dry but lemon posset and cheesecake excellent. We were offered more tea and coffee. Quiet surroundings and the tea was served on white linen which felt special.

Received as a retirement gift from work. A beautiful setting. Delicious variety of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Chocolate fondue was an added bonus. Served with fresh strawberries, banana and Marshmallows. Staff were friendly and provided ample coffee and tea. What a wonderful afternoon. Thank you Haughton Hall for providing us with a beautiful memory ??

Service was brilliant, and the food was excellent, best scones ever.

I had a fantastic afternoon tea, really enjoyed it. The only thing i would say is the range of sandwiches as a vegetarian was not great, our only choice was cheese and pickle, but the cakes were lovely.

I was juggling a spa day and afternoon day treat which was a challenge to book due to availability but when I was there on the day the staff were great. All staff were friendly and the afternoon tea was the best I’ve had to date. Overall a huge success

Venue in quiet part of Shifnal well hidden. Welcome very nice, lovely gentleman explained menu and served us . Good choice of teas. Food very good , chips with our sandwiches , yum!
