You may be more used to sipping your favourite tipple out of a can, but it’s time for you to taste gin the way it’s meant to be! Step into the world of royalty and nobility at the stunning The Rubens at the Palace, just a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace. Within this elegant venue you’ll find a wealth of history and culture representing the life of the Royal Family, debutantes and even footmen right back to the 1700s. During your experience, the resident mixologist will teach you everything you need to know about gin and tonic and you’ll be tasting 3 sensational gins accompanied by complimentary tonic water pairings. As the tasting gets underway you can line your stomachs with a delicious sharing platter of British style Tapas.

What do I need to know?
- All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences
- This voucher is valid for two people
- Tastings are available week-round at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm, excluding Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Easter weekend, July-September, 14th – 31st of December
- Gin tasting will last for approximately 45 minutes but customers will have time after the exercise to enjoy the sharing platter and drinks
- Minimum age: 18 years
- The dress code for The Rubens is smart casual and we respectfully ask guests to refrain from wearing sportswear, flip-flops and non-tailored shorts – guests not adhering to the dress code policy will not be permitted entry into the restaurants and bars
- Please inform the venue of any dietary requirements when booking
- You must take a printed copy of your voucher with you to the venue (emails on screen will not be accepted)
- A discretionary service charge of 155% will be added to your bill
- All dates are subject to availability

Excellent Experience

Haven't done anything like this before but would recommend. A nice setting in the New York bar but it was the host that made the experience - I believe it was the bar manager. Very welcoming and knowledgeable about gin - it was educational as well getting the chance to taste a few different gins.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Gin Tasting and the food provided which was exceptional. The mixologist, Jacek, was exceptionally knowledgeable and it was extremely interesting to learn about the history of gin making. In addition, all the staff the hotel were extremely helpful and very pleasant.

Absolutely amazing experience!

Cannot fault this experience one bit, from start to finish we both throughly enjoyed it. We are both Gin fans but we learnt a whole new way to enjoy it and tips we never would've thought to do. Staff were absolutely brilliant, from the minute we walked through the door we felt welcomed and valued. Even the little touches like the certificate at the end brought smiles to our faces. Alessio was our guide, he was so knowledgeable about all the gins and so friendly it was a pleasure talking to him. He made our experience the best it could be, he really went out of his way to make our experience enjoyable. He is a real credit to the hotel and the experience. The sharing platter had plenty to choose from and was delicious, very filling too! We both fully recommend this and will be booking the whiskey experience as presents for family and will be back again ourselves.

A lovely treat

We brought this 18 months ago and booked and cancelled 3 times, due to COVID so finally got to use voucher. From arrival, such a good experience. Surroundings were very relaxed, Gin ‘tutor’ very knowledgeable and had 3 full size gin tasters. Food that followed was delicious- such a good day had by all. Buy a gift and Rubens very accommodating with all the changes too.

Very enjoyable, leisurely evening learning about gin. Food tapas great to go with it. Our host, Jacek, was very knowledgeable. Venue was very luxurious. A great way to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
