The Inamo people were very helpful with the booking. The Covent Garden restaurant was slick but impersonal. You get taught ‘how to order’ quickly and efficiently on iPads, the fizz arrived without preamble. The food arrives very speedily and is of decent quality, but the whole process leaves you a little underwhelmed! - maybe due to the lack of interaction with serving staff. You are required to pay 12.5% tip but not sure it was deserved. As my daughter said- we’ve done it once but probably wouldn’t repeat!

Rather disappointed with the overall experience. The food was underwhelming, a lot of oily dishes, Sushi rolls were dry there were no small bowls for the soya sauce and the popcorn Scallops were something out of an Iceland frozen foods bag. The complementary glass of Prosecco was of poor quality and not cold.

Great venue and the food selection is great

Really good food at Inamo combined with a novel ordering process (interactive tables). Would definitely go back there as prices were reasonable considering the location in London.

From other reviews, we were expecting several small dishes, but each dish was of a decent size, meaning that we were too full to finish them all. Each dish was tasty and very satisfying. Our only mistake was to order rice as one of the options, whereas if we'd thought about it, most of our choices included rice as a core component. We went to the Camden location (conveniently opposite a tube station) during a Monday afternoon, between the lunchtime and evening peaks. Consequently, it was very relaxing and we were able to chat to the staff, however I would expect it to be a lot busier during those peak times. We were served by Rachel and Michele, who were very helpful in explaining how to peruse the menus and place our order on the ipad-like tablets, and how to use the table surface which doubled as an interactive whiteboard.

As this was a Christmas gift and we booked in August we were advised that the menu had changed and some of the suggested items (salmon sashimi, Sichaun Chicken, crispy duck) were no longer available. Bit strange as we both thought that these would both be pretty popular items. On further inspection some of these items were available on the a la carte menu. When we queried this we were offered one as a complimentary item (sichaun chicken). The options on the set menu were a bit limited. They were generally tasty although they did appear to be very salty. This has been confirmed as we both woke very thirsty and with a dry mouth the next day. The wine list was outrageously overpriced the bottle of wine we had was a half decent NZ SB Frost Pocket at a staggering £44.95 that transpires retails at about £11 to £12 a whopping 400% mark up. On receiving the bill service was added at 12.5% on calculating this at home it was in excess of 15%. If it says 12.5% I expect it to be 12.5%. Not great and we won't be making a return visit anytime soon.
