Our A La Carte Menu will offer you a tempting variety of classical dishes, while also catering for the more adventurous palate too. The elegant Lakes Restaurant follows the classic style of the Victorian country house with it's crystal chandelier, fine china and silver cutlery. We were able to book our table and view the menu on line. Warmly welcomed we weee quickly shown to our beautifully laid table, The staff were smart, friendly and attentive, The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We really enjoyed our evening

The menu was rather restricted.Steaks requiring supplements.Dessert was very good.For the price you would pay less without a voucher.A lovely setting and excellent service.

Lovely old English dinning experience with a pre-diner drinks reception area to sit and peruse the menu (also available online). Escorted to your table in a beautifully spacious dining room with candle lit tables. The food was extremely enjoyable in both taste, presentation and quantity with excellent service from all the staff. The price was on par with good al-a-carte hotel restaurants with no service charge added. An excellent night out , will come again sometime.

My husband and I received the 3 course meal and champagne from our neighbours as a thank you for my husband saving their babies life. The hotel looked lovely , the waiter/waitress service was amazing true professionals but sadly the food was not good.The starter was fine. We both chose fillet steak for our mains cooked medium both were served bleu. I had to send mine back but my husband not wishing to make a fuss ate his. I waited 20 minutes for my new steak when it arrived I couldn't eat it. It was like shoe leather. We chose our sweets, again very disapointed. I needed a hammer and chisel to break through the ice cream. I gave up. Such a shame. The head waiter was a true gent. Very apologetic.the service in the restaurant was excellent.
