Afternoon Tea for Two at The Hansom in 5* St Pancras Renaissance Hotel 10787662

We had a great time, The services was good unhurried and you had time to sit and enjoy a good tea (3 hours) The staff were helpful very friendly and the whole experience was great it was the perfect start to a theatre evening.

The staff were very attentive and very pleasant. They could not do enough for us and made our special treat very enjoyable.

We enjoyed our tea yesterday in the opulent surroundings of the Renaissance Hotel. It is a pity that the Hansom is actually a lobby so guests with luggage wander through from time to time which is a bit disconcerting! Cakes were delicious and interesting - we didn’t manage to eat four each so those left were boxed up for us to take home. Initial contact with the hotel was difficult as the telephone number given on the voucher never seemed to be answered! However once we made contact, the staff were very helpful, both before and during the tea. We sat at our table for two and a half hours (we did have drink after tea) and were not rushed to leave, which made for a very pleasant experience.

Myself and a friend booked for our birthday treat and was so disappointed. Champagne served in wine glass, wrong teas served. Quality of bread and scones dry, cake selection unappetising and inedible. No customer service left for 2 hours without being asked for any tea replenishment or courtesy check. Won’t be going back.

What a lovely restaurant and in such a prestigious setting. Beautiful lounge area to sit in and our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the teas on the menu. Encouraging us to try as many as we would like and offering coffee and hot chocolate for anyone that didn't like tea. The sandwiches were lovely and the 4 cakes some of the best we have ever tasted - a definite thumbs up for the chef. The scones arrived warm and the plate wrapped in a thick cotton napkin to keep them that way. Overall a really lovely experience which we would definitely repeat. We visited with friends and were not rushed at all. Definitely 5*.

Loved the atmosphere, loved the service , loved the food...it was truly magical

Bit disappointed to be honest. Everyone was having afternoon tea so felt like a conveyer belt. Sandwiches premade and as others have said, were cold as had been in fridge. Service very slow and had to remind them to bring our drinks etc. Very polite and friendly though. Would I go again, no. Even with discount felt it was overpriced.

The afternoon tea was superb. The staff were very attentive and made sure we were very well looked after. Great selection of teas and the scones were delicious! I have loved the deco of the hotel and would definitely come back again. Thank you for making my birthday special.
