High Tea in Angelo Musa Patisserie at Harrods for Two 107105743

I bought this afternoon tea as it was supposed to be an upgrade on the lovely Harrods regular Afternoon Tea which we enjoyed on a previous occasion. The food was absolutely exquisite but there were only four small savouries, four tiny patisserie style fancy cakes and two small scones. The scones came with the smallest amount of jam and cream I’ve ever seen offered at an afternoon tea. Generosity was definitely not the order of the day. The waiters take ages talking you through the items offered but do not even offer another drink after the tiny pot you start with. There were no top ups offered on the drinks, scones or anything else but the worst aspect of this afternoon tea was it’s location! You walk through the beautiful Harrods tea room with its ornate ceilings and live pianist to a corridor beside the mens toilet and roughly fenced off. This is the section where you have your Angelo Musa afternoon tea! It’s literally next to the gents and in the corridor between the elegant tea room and the Levant Cafe with all its associated smells. There are people CONSTANTLY walking past. They stop and look at you eating, take photos and stare. I would highly recommend the food as it’s delicious but for the full price of £75pp it’s a tiny quantity. You’ll be hungry again soon. Also be aware you have to pay an additional £17 service charge!
