Comfortable, clean stay. Very friendly staff especially the lady on reception and serving breakfast. Breakfast was ok but more about quantity and less about quality.

Excellent stay . We had the carvery on the Sunday night which was so good that my husband had it the next night . Very friendly staff all round . The room was spotless and had everything in it that was needed. Hopefully we will visit The Down Inn again . Thanks for a lovely weekend.

Friendly, polite, fantastic stay

Didn't feel like an outsider very friendly staff. Excellent service. Food I never finish a 3 course meal and there was not a crumb left on my plates. Fried Brie to begin, Carvery with lots of choice & a lemon meringue sundae with a lovely lemon sauce which tasted fresh, not synthetic shop bought. We had a orange juice & pint of ale very fresh. Big rooms with traditional décor but not old fashioned, still modern & classic. Clean room & bathroom. Will definitely be coming back for dinner & hopefully at some point a stay again.

Was bought a voucher as a Christmas gift pre-Covid and was impressed by the ease in which Buyagift extended the voucher date. Finally managed to book our overnight stay with meal and breakfast. Both meals were delicious and accommodation was excellent. Staff very friendly and professional. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely place and staff, the room was spacious and very clean. We had the carvery and half a duck both meals were delicious and the service first class, as was the breakfast we both had full English couldn’t fault it. Would definitely stay again
