Beautiful hotel, fantastic staff...

The hotel is located very close to Shannon airport without being on the planes route (so no noise disturbance). It's in the middle of the country side without being too difficult to find as it is well indicated. On the outside the building could do with a new coat of paint but it is still a beautiful house in beautiful grounds. Inside the place is also beautiful as are the rooms, I've posted a few pics of our room. We had a meal in the restaurant, a three course early bird menu at €26.5 (€35 after 8pm) which was very nice. My dessert (Rhubarb crumble) was a bit of a let down, but I had eaten so much that I was really not bothered and everything else was delicious. The breakfast is also quite nice, especially the homemade soda bread. So overall a very nice hotel, but what made it more than nice was the people. The service in the restaurant was faultless and Gillian and her husband are the most welcoming and helpful host. We will definitely go there and recommend it to our friends.

They lover going to the West of Ireland and they had'nt been on holiday in a while despite my encouragment so I decided to take matters into my own hands and book it myself! They had a fabulous hotel in fact my mum said it was the nicest hotel they had ever stayed in on the emerald isle!

My grandfather is from a village on the Shannon river and it really is the most beautifu river you will ever come accross surrounded by green and moutains. The Carrygerry is wonderfully situated on the river and the owners are just the loveliest people. Go!!
