Lovely hotel shame about the noise!!

The hotel is beautiful and tastefully decorated, and our room was newly refurbished and lovely. The staff at reception were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was lovely and the food delicious, and the service was good. The menu was so nice I had trouble choosing. However, our room was right next to the back entrance of the hotel and where all the private functions are happening. On the Friday night they had a trio singing. The music was so loud that our bed literally vibrated. We had to turn up the tv just so we could hear it. It was switched off by 12pm and after that it was quiet. On the Saturday there was a wedding. Oh my, this was something else!!! Again the music vibrating the bed, and people outside having a fag screaming and shouting so loud, it was like they were stood in our room. Some of the wedding party were staying down our corridor and were shouting and slamming doors. Then at approx 12.45am there were 2 guys in the corridor having a fight, there was smashing glass!! I rang reception to be told that someone would investigate but we didn't want to come out of the room incase we found ourselves in the middle of it. This went on till around 2am. I don't mind people having a good time, but did we all have to be on the same corridor, and why put us next to the exit?? Why not put the wedding guests there who are attending the party?? Next morning at check out I spoke about this to reception and the couple next door to us corroborated our findings and stated that it was as we said. The manager came and made sympathetic noises, but I feel it was lip service. No recompense offered!! We paid our bar bill which was over £100, which we expected, but at £7 for a gin and lemonade I expected our concerns to be taken seriously. Then to add to our woes, we got home to find they had added dessert to our bill even though we were on the 2 course meal included on the first night deal, and we only had main course and dessert!!! Cheated all round!!
