Expensive insurance and photos

Loved doing the laps and the organisation on the day was very good. The "track" at Northampton was a coned section of an airfield which made following the course a little difficult.
Difficult booking process using a combination of buyagift and Car Chase Heros. No directions to venue or signposting at venue. Insurances of £25 per person - so an extra fifty quid on the day for myself and my daughter- made the day expensive and felt pressured into buying it. Photograph package was another £25 per person which I gave a miss.
Car Chase Heroes expected to see a voucher from buyagift on the day but, after further checking, were satisfied with the voucher code I had in an email.

Before the drives, I was hit for a £25 insurance waiver and a £10 sighting lap. Neither being mandatory, but with up to £5000 for damage and no knowledge of the course both were considered a necessity
The ‘circuit’ was poorly set out with small coloured cones.
Both 3 lap drives were accompanied by representatives from Car Chase Heroes. Under threat of immediate termination of the drive, the Atom was held in 4th gear throughout the session. The Caterham drive was significantly better as use of the gears was allowed – even though shoes had to be removed, apparently due to closely spaced foot pedals. Both cars were poorly maintained.
While the Caterham drive was fun, the overall verdict was not favourable.
