With entry for two, marvel at the masterpiece illustrating Britain’s prosperity and naval power, as Sir James Thornhill’s creations conjure up a recollection of 18th-century Britain. After treating your inner culturalist, satisfy the taste buds with a traditional afternoon tea, which can be enjoyed in the warmth of the Painted Hall Cafe. Take the visit at your leisure, as you make your way through three connecting spaces; each as striking as the last. The Vestibule, the Lower Hall and the Upper Hall highlight themes of power, peace and prosperity through the grand-scale of decorative artworks. With an explorer map to guide and inform, discover all there is to know about the showpiece that took a mighty 19 years to paint.
