About the experience
Take the plunge and go beneath the waves with this exhilarating diving experience for one at The Bear Grylls Adventure in Birmingham. You’ll be briefed and kitted up by the dive team before warming up and learning the diving skills you’ll need in the training pool. Once you’re ready, you’ll venture into the tropical tank, home to over 800 weird and wonderful aquatic creatures. From Nurse Sharks and Black Tip Reef Sharks to Cow Nose Rays, you’ll come face to face with a plethora of breath-taking animals. You’ll have up to 25 minutes walking the underwater course before resurfacing where you’ll receive an electronic card of recognition to mark the completion of your dive. Plus, each dive generates a donation to The Shark Trust and you’ll have unlimited access to the Assault Course on the day of your visit for a bonus challenge.

What do I need to know?
- All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences
- Your voucher is valid for one person
- Available for off-peak sessions, year round
- This activity lasts for two hours. Please arrive 30 minutes before the activity start time
- All participants must complete a waiver upon check in, plus a Dive medical form. If anything on the medical form applies, the guest must seek a doctor’s note confirming they are fit and able to take part and have the note with them on the day. Please contact the supplier prior to booking to discuss any additional needs
- Minimum age: 10 years
- Guests aged 10–17 years must have an adult present at check-in to sign waivers, but can enjoy the adventure unaccompanied
- This experience is not suitable for pregnant people
- It is recommended that participants wear comfortable active wear. Wetsuits are provided but participants must bring their own swimwear and a towel
- If visibility is impaired without glasses, please bring a prescription mask
- Please refrain from wearing makeup or remove any makeup before entering the tank
- Free on-site lockers are available to store valuables and loose items
- Guests can spectate from the oceanarium window
- Participants will need to register via an app on the day and will receive an electronic card of recognition for their Discover Scuba Diving course
